Riccardo Calafiori Injury: Could play Saturday

Calafiori (undisclosed) has a chance to feature in Saturday's pre-season friendly against Athletic Club, coach Mikel Arteta said in a press conference. "The three that we lost during the tour, it was Big Gabi, Leo and Richy, and for Saturday I think both of them have a chance, if everything in the next few days evolves in the way that it's been evolving in the last few days."

Calafiori suffered an injury in training during the pre-season but it appears not to be too serious since the Italian has a chance to feature in Saturday's friendly against Athletic Club. This is good news for the Gunners since the defender will be able to build his fitness back before the start of the 2025/26 Premier League campaign. That said, his playing time may be limited as he will likely be in the rotation and Myles Lewis-Skelly the preferred starter at left back.
