Riccardo Calafiori News: Plays as expected

Calafiori (undisclosed) started and played 45 minutes in a friendly against Athletic Club on Saturday.

Calafiori looks to have cleared all of his injury concerns Saturday, with the defender getting the start in an offseason friendly. He was able to go 45 minutes before being taken off, likely to be cautious upon his return. He will now look ahead to the season opener on Aug. 17, probably seeing a bench spot to start the campaign.
