Ronaldo Vieira News: Transferring to San Jose

Vieira has completed a permanent transfer from Sampdoria to San Jose Earthquakes, his new club announced Thursday. The deal runs until the end of the 2026 MLS season and includes options for the next two following seasons.

Vieira logged 21 appearances and 12 starts for Sampdoria during the 2024/25 season while playing mostly as a defensive midfielder. He will add depth to San Jose's midfield, though it's unclear when he'll be able to make his debut since he won't be eligible to play until the Guinea-Bissau native receives the transfer certificate.
