Santiago Mourino News: Signs with Villarreal

Mourino has signed a five-year contract with Villarreal, joining from Altetico after that his former club activated his buy-back clause on Thursday, his new club announced.

Mourino has already joined his new teammates in Oviedo to start the pre-season under coach Marcelino Garcia. Mourino can play both central defense and right-back and is joining the Yellow Submarine at the right time following Logan Costa's long-term absence due to an ACL injury. Mourino is therefore expected to compete for a key role in the backline from the start with his new club.
