Mings (ankle) is a late call for Sunday's match against Tottenham, according to manager Unai Emery. "He's getting better, progressively. He's training this week individually to add to us. Tomorrow we will see how he is. The idea tomorrow is for him to train with the team and, after the training session, to decide if he will travel with us or not to London."

Mings is still trying to recover from an ankle injury and is now going to need to pass some testing to be an option Sunday, with the defender set to train again Saturday. That said, he should then be held to a fitness test just ahead of game time, with that deciding if he can play. He has started in all but one game he has been available for this season, and could earn the start immediately if fit.
