Viktor Gyokeres Injury: Out against Slavia Prague

Gyokeres (strain) is out for Tuesday's trip to Slavia Prague, per manager Mikel Arteta. "He hasn't trained today. We need to do some more tests and scans to understand the extent of the injury. I am concerned because he hasn't had many muscular issues and he had to leave the pitch because he was feeling something, which is never a good sign - especially for a player that is very explosive."

Gyokeres could be set for an extended spell on the sideline with tests still determining just how bad the injury is. This is the worst time of the season for an injury, as Arsenal will now cope with an incredibly packed schedule without their top striker. Mikel Merino projects to fill in centrally while Gyokeres is out. The one hope for Arsenal will be that the upcoming international break gives Gyokeres more time to recover.
