Wout Weghorst News: Brillant start of season

Weghorst has scored three goals and provided one assist in the first four Eredivisie games of the 2025/26 campaign, starting the season in strong form before entering the Champions League campaign with Ajax.

Weghorst scored 11 goals in 33 games across all competitions last season for Ajax in his return to his native country, adding two assists as well. The veteran striker will likely hold a starting role heading into the 2025/26 Champions League campaign with Ajax, although another striker is making a return to the Eredivisie this season as Kasper Dolberg signed with his former club again this summer and could compete with Weghorst for the starting role to lead the frontline.
