Yan Couto Injury: Looking good for opener

Couto (knee) was able to train wearing a bandage and appears to be an option for Saturday's match against St. Pauli, according to manager Niko Kovac. "Yan has already been able to do quite a bit today. He's wearing a bandage around his knee, but it looks surprisingly good."

Couto is trending in the right direction as the club approaches its season opener, as he is now training again, although with a bandage on his injury. That said, he will likely still need to pass testing to be an option Saturday. However, this is good news, as he will likely take the spot on the right flank of the defense if Julian Ryerson (calf) cannot play or is left on the bench.
