Couto (head) was stretchered off after a collision during Monday's 1-0 win over Essen.

Couto was stretchered off during the closing minutes of Monday's DFB Pokal clash. The defender will likely miss the season opener against St. Pauli depending on his status, though it seems likely he enters concussion protocols. Daniel Svensson is expected to be the first choice at left-back for the opener even if Couto is surprisingly fit.
