Yussuf Poulsen Injury: Could return against Gladbach

Poulsen (thigh) could be an option for next Sunday's season opener against Borussia Monchengladbach, coach Merlin Polzin said in a press conference. "Dompe, Poulsen, Jatta, and Pherai will not be available this weekend, but all other players are ready. Baka and Manu will still need time after the Cup, but for the other two, being available for the start of the championship in Gladbach could already be an option."

Poulsen has been struggling with a thigh issue since his arrival with his new club but that injury could be a minor one as his coach said in a press conference that he could be back for the season opener against Gladbach next Sunday. This is a very positive development as the Danish forward will be a decent option for HSV and could secure a starting role in the upcoming weeks if he remains fit.
