Welbeck will need to undergo surgery to repair his damaged hamstring and should be considered out indefinitely. Manager Graham Potter told reporters, "Both Danny Welbeck and Steven Alzate (ankle) suffered injuries in the Crystal Palace match which require surgery, and therefore both players will be out for a significant period of time."
ANALYSIS
While the team didn't provide a specific timeline for Welbeck's recovery, fantasy players should probably expect the forward to be sidelined for at least three months. Prior to getting hurt, Welbeck made three straight appearances in the starting XI and should return to being a regular starter once given the all-clear.
