Abraham previously announced he would end his playing career in January following the Jan. 17 clash. The 34-year-old came over to Europe from Argentina back in July of 2008 joining FC Basel in the Swiss league. During his time with Basel, the defender recorded nine goals and eight assists in 150 appearances and won three Swiss League Championships. After a brief stint with Hoffenheim, Abraham linked up with Eintracht Frankfurt in July of 2015 and would go on to log 178 games with the club in which he garnered five goals and seven assists.
