Joins Barcelona

May 31, 2021
Aguero will join Barcelona after leaving Manchester City following the expiration of his contract.
ANALYSIS
After making just 12 appearances in the Premier League this season due to injuries and tactical decisions, it became clear Aguero would need a new club by the coming season. To cap off one of the better terms at a single club by any striker, the Argentine still broke Wayne Rooney's record of goals scored for one team to add to his club-record tally overall, as well as the famous strike against QPR in 2012 that began Manchester City's recent ascension to the top of the English game. A rumored two-year contract will likely be Aguero's initial term with the Catalan club, and how he fits into the lineup will be perplexing to watch as Barcelona find themselves with yet another striker to compete with Antoine Griezmann for minutes.
