Rejoins Trabzonspor on loan
Onana has joined Trabzonspor on loan for the 2026/27 season, marking a return to the club after spending last season there, the club announced.
ANALYSIS
Onana made 40 appearances during his first loan spell at Trabzonspor last season, helping the Super Lig side finish third in the league and win the Turkish Cup. That run of form apparently did enough to convince both parties to run it back for another year, with Onana heading to Papara Park once again rather than fighting for the No. 1 job at Old Trafford. He joined Manchester United in the summer of 2023 and has 102 appearances for the club, but has fallen behind in the pecking order, with Senne Lammens brought in this summer as United's primary option between the posts. Expect Onana to be Trabzonspor's clear starter once again, with his long-term future at United still very much up in the air beyond this loan.

ANALYSIS
Onana spent the 2025/26 campaign on loan at Trabzonspor, and the scenario is simple.
