Da Silva has signed with the Melbourne Victory after transferring from Olympique Lyon, the club announced Friday.

Da Silva kept three clean sheets in 24 Ligue 1 appearances (16 starts) mostly in central defense during his 18-month stint with Lyon, but he could never fully force his way into the starting lineup past Castello Lukeba, Jerome Boateng and Thiago Mendes, and found even less luck when switched to Nicolas Tagliafico's backup at left-back this season. The 34-year-old is now moving to Australia with the Melbourne Victory.
