Jarque, 26 years old and just named captain of RCD Epanyol this preseason, died of heart failure in the team hotel in Coverciano, Italy on Saturday.

Eerily similar timing to the death of Sevilla defender Anonio Puerta in August of 2007, it's obviously an incredibly sad story. Jarque came up with Espanyol ever since he was 12 years old, and was named captain for the upcoming season a mere month ago.
