Orozco still seemed to have a few productive seasons ahead of him, but the injury hastened his departure from professional activity. He spent 16 years in the Mexican first division, playing for Monterrey, Santos Laguna and Tijuana and standing out as one of the most consistent keepers in the competition. He also made 10 national team appearances and took part in CONCACAF Champions Cup and Copa Libertadores tournaments early in his career.
