Dobbin signed a four year deal with Southampton after departing Aston Villa, the club announced.
ANALYSIS
Dobbin scored 11 goals in 41 appearances last season on loan at Preston, including strikes in both meetings against Southampton, and also has Championship experience from previous loan spells at West Brom and Norwich. The forward came through Everton's academy before joining Villa in 2024, making 15 Premier League appearances and scoring once against Chelsea. An England U19 international, he is capable of playing either wing, as a center forward or behind the main striker. Sporting director Johannes Spors praised his versatility and pace, and Dobbin is expected to add depth and flexibility to Southampton's forward line.
