Simon Simoni

Simoni is a 22-year-old goalkeeper who joined Frankfurt from FK Dinamo in January 2023, going on to make 22 official appearances for the U21 side, keeping nine clean sheets and helping the team to its first-ever promotion to the Regionalliga Südwest. He spent the past two seasons out on loan gaining further experience, first at FC Ingolstadt 04 and then 1. FC Kaiserslautern. The move to Lucerne comes just days after he impressed in a trial training session with the Swiss top-flight club, which quickly moved to secure a permanent deal. Simoni, who has represented Albania at senior level, is now looking to use the switch to establish himself as a regular starter in professional football.
