Kitahara has signed a two-year contract with the Sounders with the option to extend for an additional two years, the club announced Friday.

ANALYSIS
Kitahara made 17 appearances in MLS NEXT Pro this season, tallying a goal and two assists from midfield. The 19-year-old is now moving up to the senior side in Seattle, where he joins a defensive midfield roster that has plenty of young talent for him to compete with and develop alongside.
