Tomic tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday, Michael Chammas of The Sydney Morning Herald reports.

Tomic previously noted feeling ill during his first-round qualifying loss at the Australian Open to Roman Safiullin and it turns out that he was indeed sick with COVID-19. Since he was already bounced from his home major, he'll have the next two weeks to rest and recover before his schedule picks back up again in February.
