Flipkens announced Sunday via her personal Twitter page that she is withdrawing from Roland Garros due to an ankle issue.
ANALYSIS
Flipkens has been dealing with a lingering ankle injury since injuring herself at Abu Dhabi on Jan. 8. She was able to play through it for the Australian Open but doesn't feel healthy enough to give it a go for the second grand slam tournament of the year. It's unclear when she may return but Flipkens made it obvious that she doesn't plan to come back until she feels 100 percent healthy again.
