Cristian Garin

25-Year-Old
In line for ATP Cup
December 29, 2021
Garin (shoulder) will represent Team Chile at the ATP Cup on Jan. 1, freelance tennis writer Michal Samulski reports.
ANALYSIS
Garin ended the 2021 season with a shoulder injury that apparently won't follow him into 2022. The 25-year-old is currently ranked a career-high No. 17 but struggles to compete on hard courts, winning just three of his 11 matches on the surface in 2021. That said, he's gone 1-5 in Australia over the past two years, so even just winning a few matches throughout the Australian swing this year could improve his ranking.
