Pausing career after pregnancy

Hlavackova announced Wednesday that she would put her tennis career on hold indefinitely due to her pregnancy, Karel Knap of the Mlada fronta DNES reports.

When speculating on her future in tennis, the 32-year-old indicated she could resume her career in "a couple of years," but wouldn't commit to playing again. Hlavackova hasn't appeared in any events since October and competes mostly as a doubles player these days.
