17-year-old breezes into Nanchang quarterfinals

Liang won 6-1, 6-2 over Peangtarn Plipuech in the second round of Nanchang on Wednesday.

ANALYSIS
The 17-year-old, ranked No. 405, breezed into the quarterfinals with her second-consecutive straight set victory. Even though Liang has had an easy draw so far this week, a quarterfinal appearance here for the youngster is still impressive. She'll face either Eri Hozumi or No. 3 seed Magda Linette in the quarterfinals.
