Ending career after 2020

Paes announced Wednesday that he intends to retire from professional tennis after the 2020 season, Jose Morgado of the Lisbon Diario Record reports.

The 46-year-old appears set to close the curtains soon on his illustrious career, during which he's claimed 18 Grand Slam doubles titles. Paes is also the most accomplished doubles player in the history of the Davis Cup, winning 44 matches.
