Ta'amu completed 15 of 26 passes for 240 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions, rushed five times for 21 yards and caught his only target for a nine-yard touchdown in the Defenders' 33-30 win over the Renegades on Sunday.

ANALYSIS
Ta'amu wasn't quite as prolific as opposite number Luis Perez in the wild high-scoring win that put the Defenders in the postseason, but he made up for it with another interception-free performance and three total trips to the end zone. The most surprising was naturally Ta'amu's nine-yard scoring reception from Chris Rowland on a second-quarter trick play. Ta'amu also hit Cornell Powell for touchdown tosses of four and three yards in the second half, making it four consecutive games with multiple TD passes for the spring league veteran. Ta'amu also has a three-game interception-less streak going as the Defenders head into a Week 9 road battle against the Roughnecks.
