September 6, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Vandersloot finished with 15 points (5-9 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 4-4 FT), eight assists, three rebounds, one steal and one block across 34 minutes during Sunday's 85-80 loss to the Storm.

Vandersloot made huge strides as a distributor this season. Prior to 2017, her highest assist per game total sat at 5.8. But, she managed to bump that number up to 8.1 dimes per game this year, which led the league. It was also her most efficient campaign as a scorer, as she posted career highs in both field goal (51.6) and three-point (38.2) percentage en route to 11.5 points per game.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Vandersloot finished with 15 points (6-11 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 12 assists, three rebounds and three steals across 34 minutes during Wednesday's 99-96 loss to the Wings.

Vandersloot bounced right back Wednesday after a poor performance during her previous game, where she provided just six points, two rebounds, two assists and one steal. The performance also marked Vandersloot's 11th double-double of the season -- a mark that isn't surprising considering she leads the WNBA in assists per game (8.0). While somewhat inconsistent, Vandersloot has sleeper triple-double upside, warranting consideration in DFS.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Vandersloot tallied six points (3-6 FG), two assists, two rebounds and one steal across 24 minutes during Sunday's 92-62 loss to the Liberty.

While Vandersloot shouldn't be relied upon for her scoring, her lack of assists was certainly a surprise Sunday. She's one of the best passers in the WNBA, leading the league with 7.9 dimes per game. The two assists are her lowest mark on the season, other than when she failed to record an assist during the second game of the season, when she was given just 10 minutes of run. With all that in mind, there's probably no reason to panic from a fantasy perspective, as Sunday's blowout loss can likely be chalked up as an outlier overall.

August 11, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Vandersloot recorded 21 points (9-11 FG, 3-4 3Pt), four rebounds and 10 assists across 29 minutes in Thursday's win over the Stars.

That makes five straight double-doubles for Vandersloot, who has been on an absolute tear both scoring and passing the ball as of late. In her last three contests, the point guard is averaging 21.7 points and 10.0 assists per game while shooting a remarkable 75.8 percent from the field. This pace may not be sustainable forever, but for as long as Vandersloot is producing at this rate, she is the premier DFS option in the backcourt.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Vandersloot posted 26 points (9-11 FG, 3-3 3Pt, 5-5 FT), seven rebounds and 10 assists across 35 minutes in Saturday's win over the Dream.

Not only has Vandersloot recorded four double-doubles in a row, but she has also posted a double-double in eight of her last 11 outings. The point guard's passing ability makes her a very intriguing DFS option with a fairly high floor on a nightly basis, especially when she is scoring the ball like she has over her past two contests.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Vandersloot tallied 18 points (7-11 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 10 assists, four rebounds and two steals across 34 minutes during Friday's 81-70 victory over the Fever.

Vandersloot has been on a tear lately, recording three straight double-doubles. She's been impressive in general over the past 10 games, posting 12.1 points, 9.9 assists, 3.9 boards and 1.6 steals across 34.3 minutes per game. While she's had some issues with consistency in the past, it's usually not a bad strategy to consider Vandersloot, who leads the league in assists per game, in DFS.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Vandersloot tallied 11 points (5-12 FG, 1-1 3Pt), 10 assists, four rebounds and one block across 35 minutes during Friday's 86-80 loss to the Mercury.

Vandersloot, who leagues the WNBA in assists per game (7.3) is no stranger to double-doubles, as she's recorded five on the season. While she's suffered from inconsistency at points throughout the year, Vandersloot has legitimate double-double potential every night the Sky roll the ball out, giving her some of the best upside of any player available to deploy in DFS. Her 4.1 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game also help round out her potential for big games.

July 20, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Vandersloot supplied 14 points (5-8 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), a career-high 14 assists, five rebounds and one steal across 37 minutes during Thursday's 82-80 victory over the Sparks. She'll head into the All-Star break averaging 9.6 points, 7.3 assists, 4.2 rebounds and 1.3 steals across 29.6 minutes per game.

Vandersloot, one of the best passers in the WNBA, has been on a dime-dropping tear lately, averaging 10.1 assists over her past eight appearances. While her scoring is heavily inconsistent, she's a solid rebounder in addition to her impressive passing and can snag a few steals now and then as well. Considering Vandersloot leads the league in assists per game, she should continue to be one of the better backcourt options in DFS after the All-Star break.

July 14, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Vandersloot collected 13 points (5-10 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), nine assists, four rebounds and one steal across 35 minutes during Friday's 78-68 victory over the Liberty.

Over the past three contests, Vandersloot's passing has been on point while also shooting efficiently, averaging 11.3 assists per game while shooting 60.0 percent from the field. She's also averaging 4.7 boards and 1.7 steals per contest across that stretch. Assuming she can keep up her impressive play, she may quickly turn into one of the better backcourt options available in DFS.

July 12, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Vandersloot tallied 11 points (5-9 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-4 FT), 12 assists, three rebounds, three steals and two blocks across 33 minutes during Wednesday's 90-84 victory over the Wings.

In addition to her second straight double-double Wednesday, Vandersloot has been on a passing tear, averaging 10.5 assists over the past four contests. Over that same stretch, she's chipping in 12.0 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.3 steals across 32.0 minutes per game. Until she shows signs of cooling down, slotting Vandersloot into a DFS lineup seems like it should pay great dividends.

July 9, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Vandersloot posted 26 points (11-16 FG, 3-6 3Pt), seven rebounds, 13 assists and one steal across 32 minutes in Saturday's win over the Lynx.

It was a remarkable performance out of nowhere from the six-year player, as Vandersloot managed to dominate every facet of Saturday's contest. It is, however, just the fourth game this season that the point guard scored in double-digits, so expectations should remained tempered for Vandersloot's fantasy production moving forward.

June 27, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Vandersloot recorded 10 points (5-8 FG), four rebounds, three assists and one steal in 22 minutes in Sunday's loss to the Mystics.

Vandersloot has now played in each of the last two games after leaving the team to participate in the EuroBasket tournament. She's posted a combined 14 points, eight rebounds and six assists in those contests. It looks as though Vandersloot will continue to play 20-plus minutes off the bench moving forward, but her up-and-down season thus far suggests she is a risky DFS play for now.

June 7, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Vandersloot officially left the Sky on Wednesday to participate in the EuroBasket tournament in the Czech Republic.

Vandersloot is one of a number of players around the league who will head overseas to participate in EuroBasket, which officially begins June 16 and runs through June 25. As a result, Vandersloot will likely miss at least the Sky's next five contests. Through four games, Vandersloot holds averages of 8.8 points, 4.9 assists and 2.6 rebounds per game.

June 7, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Vandersloot recorded a team-high 13 points (4-9 FG, 1-3 3PT, 4-5 FT) in addition to her six rebounds and five assists across 29 minutes in Tuesday's 79-70 loss to the Sparks.

After suffering an ankle injury during Sunday's tilt against the Sun, Vandersloot was able to quickly recover and contribute across the board against the Sparks. She also missed the first four games of the 2017 season while playing internationally in the Turkish League, but the missed time hasn't seemed to affect her abilities playing with the Sky. The guard is averaging 8.3 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 3.8 assists across 22.5 minutes per tilt over four games this 2017 season.

May 30, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Vandersloot suffered an undisclosed ankle injury during Sunday's loss to the Sun, the Daily Herald reports.

In her second game back after returning from Europe, Vandersloot played only 10 minutes before suffering the injury. The team has not commented on the situation, but Vandersloot had to be helped to the bench, and she should be considered day-to-day and questionable for Thursday's game against Phoenix until further notice.

May 28, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Vandersloot (not injury related) made her season debut during Friday's 88-79 loss to the Mystics, finishing with 10 points (4-6 FG, 2-2 3Pt), two rebounds, six assists, one steal and two turnovers across 22 minutes.

Vandersloot missed the first four games of the season while finishing up international play in the Turkish League. However, she picked up right where she left off Friday, hitting double figures as a scorer in just 22 minutes off the bench. She could see her role increase as she gets more and more comfortable with the switch back to the States. Last season with the Sky, Vandersloot averaged 9.5 points, 2.0 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 1.0 steal across 24.3 minutes, which should be considered a benchmark for her production moving forward until she's able to get a few games under her belt.

May 19, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Vandersloot tweeted that she will not play during Friday's game against the Dream.

Vandersloot, who is currently overseas playing in the Turkish League playoffs until the conclusion of their season, will not take part in Friday's contest. Her next opportunity to see the floor will come on Sunday when the Sky face off against the Dream once more.

May 14, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Vandersloot won't play in Sunday's opener against the Lynx, Mike Peden of SummittHoops.com reports.

Both Vandersloot and Allie Quigley remain overseas, as both are currently playing in the Turkish League playoffs and aren't expected to join the Sky until the completion of their season. Vandersloot finished the 2016 campaign averaging 9.5 points, 2.7 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 1.3 steals across 24.3 minutes per game, so the Sky will be missing some key contributions both offensively and defensively. Look for Vandersloot to target a return ahead Friday's tilt with the Dream, although another update on her status should be provided later this week.
