2025 Fantasy Outlook
Laney-Hamilton enjoyed the best two years of her career in 2020 and 2021, and while she hasn't been quite as productive over the three seasons since then, she's been remarkably consistent over that stretch. Across those three years, she's averaged 11.9 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 29.5 minutes per game, production that gives her a somewhat high fantasy floor. While the Liberty will retain most of their core players from the championship-winning group, Laney-Hamilton dealt with a lingering knee issue last year and underwent knee surgery in March that will likely force her to miss the entire 2025 season. Out for season
Laney-Hamilton (knee) will miss the 2025 WNBA season.
ANALYSIS
This is an expected move for the Liberty. Back on May 3, General manager Jonathan Kolb said the franchise would likely suspend Laney-Hamilton's contract as she recovers from knee surgery that took place in March. This move frees up some cap space for the Liberty to utilize.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2024
2023
2022
Laney missed most of the 2022 campaign after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery, but she returned to action in 2023 and appeared in every game while serving exclusively as a starter despite the significant acquisitions the Liberty made ahead of the season. Laney didn't have quite the same statistical success that she had in 2020 and 2021, but she still posted respectable averages of 12.8 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 30.0 minutes per game. The 30-year-old doesn't have the same upside that some of her superstar teammates possess, but she proved last season that she can still be a reliable fantasy option as a complementary piece in New York. Jonquel Jones will be back with the team in 2024, which should limit Laney's role. However, Laney should be a reliable mid-round fantasy target if she can remain healthy once again this year.
