Amanda Zahui B.

Zahui B. didn't play in the WNBA during the 2022 campaign due to overseas obligations. She was traded twice during the offseason and wound up in Washington, where she figures to compete for the backup center gig behind Shakira Austin. Austin had a strong rookie season, so the starting job appears to be hers to lose, though Zahui B. is a proven veteran who could push the youngster for playing time. Zahui B has finished with at least 8.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.0 blocks in three straight seasons (2019-2021) with two different teams (Liberty and Sparks) and will look to continue that streak to four consecutive campaigns. However, the last time the veteran garnered a reserve role (2018), she posted just 7.7 points, 3.0 rebounds and 0.4 blocks in 15.9 minutes per game.

Zahui B. made 30 appearances (27 starts) for the Sparks last season – her first campaign with Los Angeles – and averaged 9.2 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.2 blocks and 1.0 assists in 23.8 minutes per game. She shot 42.9 percent from the field, 76.7 percent from the free-throw line and 28.0 percent from deep (3.6 attempts per game). However, she is expected to have a significantly reduced role during the 2022 campaign after Los Angeles acquired Liz Camabge this offseason. Zahui B. still figures to be part of the rotation but likely won't be fantasy relevant as long as she's operating as a reserve.
