After spending the last two years in Seattle, the 36-year-old will get a fresh start in Phoenix in 2025. Whitcomb came off the bench in 21 of her first 22 appearances last year but started in Seattle's final 18 games of the season, taking a starting job from Kia Nurse. Whitcomb improved her three-point efficiency slightly by shooting 38.5 percent from long range, and she ranked 10th in the league with 2.2 made three-pointers per game. Overall, the 25-year-old averaged 9.7 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 24.5 minutes per game during her first season back in Seattle following a two-year stint with the Liberty. However, the team added Skylar Diggins-Smith and Nneka Ogwumike ahead of the 2024 season. Whitcomb should still have opportunities to contribute, but her output will likely be more inconsistent.
