                2025 Fantasy Outlook

Samuelson mainly served as a starter with the Storm and Sparks during the 2021 and 2022 seasons, respectively, but she was unavailable in 2023 due to her pregnancy. She returned to the court with the Fever last year but started in just 15 of her 37 regular-season appearances. The 27-year-old wasn't very productive regardless of her starting status, and she averaged just 4.3 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 18.2 minutes per game. Samuelson mutually parted ways with Indiana in February and joined Seattle ahead of the 2025 season, but she sustained a torn ACL that will force her to miss the 2025 campaign. She'll face a lengthy recovery process ahead of the 2026 season. Read Past Outlooks

Samuelson was unavailable for the entire 2023 campaign due to her pregnancy, but she earned a two-year contract with the Fever ahead of the 2024 season. She had one of the best years of her career with the Sparks in 2022, averaging 9.7 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 29.5 minutes per game over 32 appearances (29 starts). The Fever have several young contributors and will have another young star to add to the fold if they are able to draft Caitlin Clark with the first overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft. However, Samuelson should have a chance to compete with Lexie Hull for a starting role this year. Samuelson has been a more productive player earlier in her career, so it wouldn't be surprising to see her win the competition for a starting job. However, fantasy managers should temper expectations since Indiana will likely prioritize the development of its budding stars.
