Looks healthy ahead of 2021 season

April 5, 2021
Ionescu (ankle) shared a video of her taking shots in late November and appears to have recovered from a severe ankle injury that required surgery, Ryan Young of Yahoo! Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Ionescu's 2020 season was cut short due to the grade three ankle sprain and it eventually required a procedure. The star guard was expected to be cleared for physical contact soon after her early-November procedure and figures to be the headlining act for New York heading into 2021. She impressed in her brief run for the Liberty last season, averaging 18.3 points, 4.7 rebounds and 4.0 assists over 26.7 minutes in her three games and 34 minutes each in the two games prior to the injury.
