Brings end to playing career
Quigley announced her retirement from professional basketball Tuesday in an essay posted on The Players' Tribune.
ANALYSIS
The 38-year-old Quigley hasn't played professionally since 2022, but she never officially confirmed her retirement until Tuesday. Quigley began her career with Phoenix in 2008 and had stints with Indiana, San Antonio and Seattle within her first four seasons in the league, but it wasn't until she caught on with Chicago in 2013 that her career began to take off. She spent the final 10 seasons of her career with the Sky, winning her lone WNBA championship in 2021 while earning All-Star nods in 2017, 2018 and 2019. Quigley retires with career averages of 10.9 points, 2.0 assists, 2.0 rebounds and 0.6 steals in 22.4 minutes per contest, and her 510 three-pointers are good for 20th all time in league history.

WNBA Historical Fantasy Stats
2022 Fantasy Outlook
Quigley is the Sky's resident sharpshooter. The veteran closed out the 2021 campaign with her best three-point percentage (45.4 percent) since she joined the Sky back in 2013. However, she saw a slight downturn in her overall scoring (13.2 points per game, down from 15.4 per game in 2020), likely caused by time missed due to a hamstring injury. Given that Quigley is entering her age-36 season and the WNBA is set to play its longest regular season in league history (36 games), don't be surprised if the Sky make a point to manage Quigley's workload.
