Malott was
waived by the Mystics on Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Malott has spent her first two seasons with the Mystics after being drafted with the eighth overall pick in the 2015 WNBA Draft, but has been nothing more than a minor contributor off the bench. In 23 games during the 2016 campaign, Malott averaged just 2.1 points and 1.1 rebounds across 7.8 minutes. Despite being prided for shooting ability and potential to be a stretch-four, Malott saw her shooting percentages drop from 43.9 percent from the field and 43.3 percent from the three-point line during the 2015 season, to just 30.6 and 31.2, respectively, during the 2016 campaign, so she hasn't show enough improvement in her stint with the Mystics to stick on the roster.
