2026 Fantasy Outlook
Amoore sustained a right ACL injury during a training camp practice last season and underwent season-ending surgery before her rookie campaign even began. With the 2025 No. 6 overall pick sidelined, her fellow rookies, Kiki Iriafen and Sonia Citron exploded onto the scene. Iriafen and Citron are expected to lead a new-look Mystics squad this season, but Amoore, who was a full go during preseason action, figures to be a key piece of Washington's youth movement, which added Lauren Betts, Angela Dugalic and Cotie McMahon in the first round of the 2026 WNBA Draft. Given her recent injury, it wouldn't be surprising to see the Mystics monitor Amoore closely this season, and as an undersized guard, she may struggle against professional competition. However, Amoore was an elite playmaker in college, with a knack for jumping passing lanes and irritating opposing ballhandlers. There are certainly question marks when drafting Amoore in fantasy, but the potential upside is enticing in the later rounds. Read Past Outlooks
Starting in regular-season debut
Amoore is starting Friday's Opening Night matchup against the Tempo on Friday, Zulfi Sheikh of Sportsnet reports.
ANALYSIS
Amoore missed her entire rookie season due to a torn right ACL, but she was cleared to return ahead of training camp and appeared in both of the Mystics' preseason games. She'll officially get the starting nod in Friday's regular-season opener, as expected, and she should have the opportunity to carve out a meaningful role for Washington in her first taste of regular-season action in the WNBA.

2025 Fantasy Outlook
Amoore is an undersized rookie at 5-foot-6, but she had plenty of success in college between Virginia Tech and Kentucky. Over her final three collegiate seasons -- two of which were with the Hokies and one of which was with the Wildcats -- she averaged 18.2 points, 6.2 assists and 2.6 rebounds in 36.1 minutes per game. The Australian is known as a hardworking player and should have an opportunity to compete for a role with the Mystics early in her career, but she suffered an ACL injury in April that will force her to miss the 2025 campaign. Amoore should have chances to develop in the future, but she faces a lengthy recovery process during her rookie season.
