Muted production in season finale
Berger ended with four points (2-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt), three assists and one steal across 16 minutes during Thursday's 97-76 win over the Mercury.
ANALYSIS
Berger handled a starting role for a 13th consecutive game Thursday but saw a decrease in playing time since the Wings secured a comfortable victory to close out the year. The 26-year-old spent the first two years of her career in Indiana, but she was waived in February. She joined the Lynx for training camp before being let go ahead of the regular season. She made one appearance for Los Angeles in mid-June but found her footing with the Wings over the second half of the season, averaging 3.6 points, 3.4 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.4 blocks in 22.3 minutes per game over 18 appearances (13 starts). She'll be a reserved free agent during the offseason, and it seems possible that the Wings will express interest in bringing her back for 2026.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2024
2023
After a slow start to her rookie year, Berger carved out a role in mid-July and never let go. Over the final 21 games, Berger averaged 5.7 points, 2.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 0.7 steals in 19.7 minutes per game. However, she’s returning to a crowded backcourt already, and the Fever are expected to select Caitlin Clark with the No. 1 overall pick, pushing Berger further down the depth chart. Given what she showed last season, Berger should have a path to consistent bench minutes, but her fantasy value would be limited in that role.
