Moriah Jefferson

Jefferson secured a starting role with the Wings in 2021, but Dallas waived her shortly early in the 2022 campaign. She landed on her feet in Minnesota, where she served exclusively as a starter and compiled one of the best years of her career, averaging 10.8 points, 4.9 assists and 2.5 rebounds in 26.8 minutes per game. Jefferson will have another change of scenery in 2023, signing with the Mercury in February. With Skylar Diggins-Smith expected to miss at least part of the 2023 WNBA season, Jefferson could be bound for a starting role opposite Diana Taurasi to open the season. Shey Peddy should also factor in when healthy, but Peddy is returning from a torn Achilles suffered in the playoffs last year and may not be ready for the start of the season. As a result, Jefferson could be in line for big minutes early, and she displayed enough potential with the Lynx to make her an intriguing fantasy option.
