ANALYSIS
Banham has seen relatively consistent playing time off the bench early in the regular season, as she played 15 minutes during Saturday's Opening Night matchup. However, she wasn't very involved when on the court Wednesday, as she managed to record a steal but had just one field-goal attempt. The 32-year-old started in 33 of her 44 regular-season appearances with the Sky last year, averaging 9.0 points, 2.7 assists and 1.7 rebounds in 24.6 minutes per game, but she's had to settle for less usage early in 2026 after the team acquired Skylar Diggins, Natasha Cloud, Jacy Sheldon and Gabriela Jaquez, while Courtney Vandersloot (knee) and DiJonai Carrington (foot) could also eat away at some of Banham's minutes once they're cleared to return.

Banham handled an inconsistent bench role for Minnesota last season and finished with modest averages, but her long-distance shooting is intriguing and puts her on fantasy radars. After four years with the Lynx, Banham is set to join the Sun. The expectation is that she'll be competing for a bench role, so she doesn't need to be a priority in fantasy drafts.

Banham compiled one of the better campaigns of her career in 2022 and re-signed with the Lynx this offseason, hoping to recapture a similar role. Over a career-high 17.5 minutes per game, Banaham also turned in a career-best mark in the scoring column, averaging 7.9 points on the back of a career-best 1.6 three-point makes per game. Minnesota didn't make any splash backcourt moves in free agency, adding Tiffany Mitchell and re-signing Lindsay Allen and Bridget Carleton, but Diamond Miller, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2023 WNBA Draft, could siphon away some playing time from Banham. Even if she finds minutes off the bench, Banham's career-best campaign seems unlikely to extend much further, so she's likely a late-round fantasy pick or waiver-wire add in most leagues.

Banham appeared exclusively off the bench during her second season with the Lynx in 2021 and averaged 5.0 points and 1.6 assists in 12.6 minutes per game. She rejoined Minnesota on a training camp contract in February and should compete for one of the final spots on the team's roster. Even if she holds on to a roster spot, Banham may not see the necessary playing time to garner fantasy consideration in most formats.
