Burrell had a career-best season in 2024, averaging 5.9 points and 1.8 rebounds in 15.6 minutes per game over 37 appearances (seven starts). While that wasn't enough to make her a reliable fantasy option, the Sparks relied on her more late in the season while other players dealt with injuries. However, the Sparks traded for Kelsey Plum during the offseason and brought back Aari McDonald and Odyssey Sims, so Burrell's playing time will likely remain limited in 2025 as long as the team remains healthy. Burrell posted 10 points (4-11 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), two rebounds and one assist in 27 minutes during Thursday's 103-75 loss to Las Vegas.

ANALYSIS
Burrell drew her first start of the year during Thursday's regular-season finale, and she scored in double figures for a third consecutive game. The 25-year-old sustained a knee injury on Opening Night, which forced her to miss 16 games. However, she remained healthy over the second half of the season and consistently saw double-digit minutes off the bench. In total, she averaged 7.5 points, 2.3 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 0.6 steals in 18.4 minutes per game over 28 appearances. Burrell will be a reserved free agent during the offseason, and it's possible that the Sparks will express interest in bringing her back for the 2026 campaign.

2023 Fantasy Outlook

Burrell made three appearances (one start) and averaged 14.7 minutes per game before her rookie campaign was cut short by knee surgery. She appears to be back to full strength and is currently playing overseas, but even with multiple injuries in the Sparks' backcourt, Burrell was unable to earn a roster spot out of training camp. She could sign elsewhere, but it will be tough for Burrell to find a more favorable spot than the one in Los Angeles.
