2025 Fantasy Outlook
Carrington played mainly off the bench over the first three years of her career, but she enjoyed a breakout campaign in 2024 while serving exclusively as a starter, averaging 12.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.6 steals in 29.6 minutes per game. While she was one of the most improved players in 2024, she was traded to Dallas during the offseason and will join a backcourt that already includes superstar Arike Ogunbowale and will presumably add guard Paige Bueckers with the first overall pick in the draft. The Wings will have a new-look lineup at several positions in 2025, so Carrington could continue to be a somewhat reliable contributor. However, fantasy managers should exercise some caution when considering her in drafts, as she carries some bust potential. Read Past Outlooks

Heading to Minnesota
The Wings traded Carrington to the Lynx on Sunday in exchange for Diamond Miller, Karlie Samuelson (foot) and a 2027 second-round pick, Mitchell Hansen of CanisHoopus.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Carrington will join Minnesota's backcourt after having experienced a slight dip in playing time with the Wings recently. The 27-year-old appeared in 20 regular-season games (13 starts) for Dallas, during which she averaged 10.4 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.1 steals across 24.9 minutes per game. She began the season in a starting role but came off the bench in seven of her last eight appearances. Carrington will now provide backcourt depth behind Kayla McBride and Courtney Williams in Minnesota.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2024
2023
2022
Carrington played exclusively as a reserve in her 32 appearances last year, but she saw more looks from the floor and improved her three-point efficiency to see an uptick in her scoring average despite a slight decline in playing time. Overall, the 26-year-old averaged 8.3 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 17.2 minutes per game. Carrington generally saw consistent playing time, but she played under 15 minutes in half of her appearances last year and averaged just 3.6 points and 1.5 rebounds in 9.3 minutes per game during those matchups. She's made just three starts over her first three seasons in the WNBA but could compete for a starting role in 2024 after Tiffany Hayes announced her retirement. However, the Sun also brought Tiffany Mitchell and Moriah Jefferson in during the offseason. Carrington's role is slightly up in the air, but she's had consistent production over the past two seasons and could see her usage increase in 2024, especially if she can win a starting role to begin the regular season.
