Diggins-Smith missed the entire 2023 season due to her pregnancy, but she formed a potent tandem alongside Jewell Loyd and Nneka Ogwumike in Seattle last year and appeared in every game. Diggins-Smith wasn't utilized as much as a scorer -- her average of 15.1 points per game was her lowest mark since 2016 -- but she averaged a career-high 6.4 assists to go with 2.6 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game. However, the 34-year-old should be Seattle's top backcourt option in 2025 after the team traded Loyd to the Aces, so Diggins-Smith could see some more success in the scoring column to complement her solid secondary figures. Diggins accumulated 10 points (3-12 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 4-5 FT), four rebounds, six assists and one block in 28 minutes during Tuesday's 74-73 win over Golden State.

ANALYSIS
Diggins extended her run of double-digit points to five games, but she had a woeful shooting performance and ended with more field goal attempts than points scored. Despite the shooting woes and the fact that she shot 42.4 percent from the floor over that five-game streak, Diggins ends the regular season on a strong note. She averaged 15.5 points, 6.0 assists, 2.5 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game while starting in each of her 43 appearances. She figures to play a significant role for the Storm during the playoffs as well.

Diggins-Smith was a dominant contributor in Phoenix after being traded from the Wings to the Mercury in 2020, but she missed the end of the 2022 campaign due to a pregnancy that also forced her to miss the entirety of the 2023 season. She alluded to tension with the Mercury late in 2023, so it's no surprise that she opted to sign on with another team -- the Seattle Storm -- this offseason. The 33-year-old has averaged 18.3 points, 5.4 assists and 3.5 rebounds in 33.1 minutes per game over her last five seasons, so she should have an opportunity to immediately take on a prominent role. She also missed the 2019 season due to a pregnancy and had relatively consistent production in 2020, so it wouldn't be surprising to see her pick up where she left off in 2024.

Diggins-Smith took her game to new heights in 2022, posting career-best averages for points (19.7), rebounds (4.0), steals (1.6) and blocks (1.0) and adding 5.5 assists. She finished as a top-10 fantasy performer overall and a top-5 option on a per-game basis. However, she took a leave of absence for personal reasons in mid-August and shared in October that she's pregnant. Diggins-Smith will likely miss a significant portion of the 2023 campaign as a result, though she could return at some point.

Diggins-Smith remains with a star-studded Phoenix club that retained all of its key cogs from last year's team and added a huge piece in Tina Charles this offseason. Diggins-Smith finished last season second on the team and ninth in the league with 17.7 points per game, also finishing in the top 10 in assists per game (5.3). The addition of Charles would likely have taken away from Diggins-Smith's overall fantasy value. However, the Mercury may be without last year's leading scorer and rebounder, Brittney Griner, as she remains detained in Russia. As a result, Diggins-Smith's fantasy value should remain relatively constant. Diggins-Smith led the WNBA in free throw attempts (198) and attempts per game (6.2) last season.
