RB Overview
Role Security: Very Low
7/10/25 - The Dallas backfield may remain unsettled throughout the season unless a clear leader emerges. Javonte Williams has been inefficient over the past two years but could open the season as the lead runner. Miles Sanders should get opportunities early, and he may be fighting for the lead role. Fifth-round rookie Jaydon Blue is a candidate for passing-down work, though concerns over his pass protection remain. Seventh-round pick Phil Mafah could carve out short-yardage duties with his between-the-tackles skill set.
WR Overview
7/10/25 - CeeDee Lamb is the unquestioned No. 1 WR and will likely command heavy volume again. George Pickens, acquired via trade, is set to play a full-time outside role and should see frequent deep targets. Jalen Tolbert is projected to start as the No. 3 WR after posting career highs with 610 yards on 79 targets in 2024. KaVontae Turpin and Ryan Flournoy will compete for gadget and rotational duties as the No. 4 receiver. Jonathan Mingo, Parris Campbell, and Jalen Brooks are also in the mix for depth snaps.
TE Overview
7/10/25 - Jake Ferguson struggled during Prescott’s absence but remains the starting TE with strong chemistry in the offense. He could serve as the No. 2 target behind Lamb. Luke Schoonmaker returns as the No. 2 tight end and will likely see limited but steady usage.
