The Brewers have been one of the fun stories of 2007 so far. Sticking with our price-check series, how would you value these guys if headed into an auction today? Give your NL-only price, mixed league price, or both.
Prince Fielder
J.J. Hardy
Rickie Weeks
Ryan Braun
Ben Sheets
David Bush

Off the top of my head, may feel different later today, but here we go:
Fielder $27 Weeks $14 Hardy $14 Braun $16 Sheets $20 Bush $2 (I know you guys will all overbid me)

I'd go:
Fielder $31, $34 (NL-only) Weeks $12 (mixed), $15 (NL-only) - If he ever stays healthy, I think he'd be better suited as the No. 2 hitter with Corey Hart staying in the leadoff spot and Hardy sliding down. Hardy $15 (mixed), $18 (NL-only) Braun $18 (mixed), $23 (NL-only) Sheets $20 (both...if this were the Price is Right, Pianow would have just got the cash bonus from Bob Barker) Bush $5 (both)

I wouldn't pay double figures for Hardy. Outside of a 100 AB stretch this year where he hit .380 with 11 HR, his career numbers in 645 AB are .240/.304/.378. He never steals a base so there's no value there, either. As long as he's hitting second he'll be decent in runs scored, but that's about it. I really don't understand why the Brewers are so determined to bat him and his .328 OBP in front of Braun and Fielder. He's exactly the guy you want to throw out early and hope two owners get into a bidding war for.

NL only, mixed:
Fielder: $32, $20 Weeks: $16, $4 Hardy: $16, $1 (or waiver wire) Braun $21, $3 Sheets $21, $9 Bush $14, $1
Remember a $15 NL guy is typically a $1 guy if that in a 12-team mixed league where only superstars make a real difference. I'd pay a little extra for Weeks because of his upside if he's ever healthy, but risk hurts him in an NL league where you just want guys getting at-bats.

NL only, mixed:
Fielder: $33, $21 - Upping Liss in bid war, but obviously will lose. Weeks: $13, $2 –Wrist injuries, ahhh….. Hardy: $16, $4 –Like Hardy more than most, but believe in splits and the theory of in-season correction. Braun $22, $8 Sheets $18, $5 – Not my fav in Mixed; perpetual injury suspicions won’t allow me to get into a bidding war; delusional paranoid that I am. Bush $2, N/A – Many Anti-Bush sentiments disclosed previously, none political

Fielder $35, $22 Weeks $15, $4 Hardy $18, $8 Braun $21, $9 Sheets $8, $3 (in other words, I don't trust him to be healthy for more than 2 starts the moment I get him, so someone else can have him) Bush - why bother? Yovanni's coming!

Fielder: 36 bottles Weeks: 18 bottles Hardy: One case Braun: 16 bottles Sheets: 18 Bottles Bush: 40 ouncer
...thought I would put it in the context most Brewers' fans would understand!

All prices NL-only, because I'm stubborn that way.
Prince Fielder $30 - He's probably at the point where he'll cost more than Derrek Lee now, whom I'd still rather have.
J.J. Hardy - $14
Rickie Weeks - $11 (I'd bid higher solely on ability if he could demonstrate just once that he could stay healthy. It was a fluke how he got hurt in the first place, but given how many times this wrist injury has cropped up, I'm afraid I'm starting to back away from my original expectations)
Ryan Braun - $19
Ben Sheets - $19
David Bush - $8
