Was having a debate with a friend of me. I believe Craig Biggio, Jeff Bagwell and Frank Thomas are all Hall of Famers, possibly even first ballot, while he felt that all of them will struggle to get in. Your views?

I won't speak to the B's, but Thomas I feel will struggle simply due to his injury history at this point in his career. Although, the man was absolutely a force during the 90's. So as time goes by and people forget the last few years and focus on the ~450 hrs, he'll likely make it in. First ballot: no. Later: yes.

People don't realize this but The Big Hurt should DEFINATELY be a 1st ballot guy!!!!! damn those are some awesome #'s....it's not many times that an athlete comes along where you simply MUST WATCH, but as a life long white sox fan, I can tell you that he is one of those guys. I can't tell you how many times when the sox were not a good team that I would be watching something else on tv but I always made sure that I changed the channel back to the game for his at bats and pretty much all of my buddies did the same thing....

Big Hurt has got to be a first ballot hall of famer. His body of work before injuries was enough to be a first ballot hall of famer, and he has the name recognition/fan support. He was for about 5 years the deadliest hitter in the game not just with power, but with a tremendous eye. Think Manny Ramirez with more pop and a better attitude. Manny's had more healthy years, but Thomas was absolutely unstoppable before the injuries. I actually feel that Thomas will rebound big this year with Oakland and get 25 HR's.
