Sam Walker, author of Fantasyland, makes his first appearance of 2008 on the show tomorrow. We'll get his take on his best-selling book becoming a documentary this year, and what he plans to do at Tout Wars.

Once again, the showtime is noon ET, 9:00 a.m. out here on the west coast.

Good show with Sam Walker. Really enjoy your show. One request PLEASE, I see where you finally made all teams at a glance one of the options on real time stats. That is great, but can you also add it to daily box scores? That was very frustrating last year. Any help would be appreciated.

I really do not mean to be a wet blanket, but it seems that I'm only moved to comment when I have a problem with the topic. I LOVE fantasy focus. It was much better for me when it was 2 hours later before it was changed to its current time, but oh well....then I could hear all of it, now my schedule forces me to miss some of it. But if you really want our honest comments, the Sam Walker shows are the ones that I could do without. Personally, I want to listen to your show to gain information, often more in-depth information than available elsewhere. I value your opinion, although I'm not sure if we just agree a lot, or if I let your opinion influence mine to the extent that we agree a lot. When Sam Walker is the guest, we only hear about the way he tagged along with the players (something that we can't do) and about his book and/or movie and comparisions between tout wars and LABR. The time that he is on the air with you we gain no information that will really help us in our own leagues, and that is the reason that people are listening. (I shouldn't speak for others. That's the reason that I'm listening and I would assume that is the motivation for most of the listeners.) While I'm sure that he is a very nice person, and fun to chat with, (I would enjoy just sitting down and visiting with him on those same topics) I feel like too much time is spent on things that aren't the reason I'm tuned in. Perhaps if your show was 2 hours instead of 1, then there would be enough time for such side bars, but you never have enough time for the callers. (Yes, I know some are dufuses, but many are very intelligent with good questions)There, I'm done. I'm not really bitching, because I do love your show, but if you want my opinion about Sam Walker, then you have it. P.S. If you could talk XM into taking away an hour from Steiner to give to you, then have Sam Walker on all you want. Am I the only one who likes the intelligence of Chuck Wilson a lot more than the cliches and fluff of Charlie Steiner?

Chuck Wilson is 1,000 times better than Charlie Steiner. ESPN Radio was foolish to let Wilson go (and for a parade of hacks to follow, at that).

Agreed on Chuck...very underrated radio guy. Personally, I like the Sam Walker-like one-off segments, though I prefer hearing Will Carroll, Joe Sheehan, and the other regulars.

fourhorsemen - I assume you're talking about our commish product. Please do me a favor and e-mail our customer support folks, at, and give them all of your suggestions.

thepearl - Thanks for the feedback on the show. It's funny, half the listeners I hear from want more guests, the other half want more callers. I just try to strike a balance.

I agree that Chuck Wilson is fantastic. I actually like both his show and Charlie's - in a perfect world, they'd each have a two-hour gig. At least Chuck still fills in whenever Charlie is traveling, and has his own show at 6:00 pm EST.

The chances of me getting another hour for FF are remote. I think that XM is plenty happy with the rotation as it is. I'd certainly take another hour if it were given to me, though.

Amen on Chuck Wilson vs. Charlie Steiner. I am a Dodgers fan, so I cannot stand Steiner for several reasons.

Steiner's humor is horrible...
