The full results from the draft will be up on Yahoo later this week, I presume, but here's my squad from Monday's Yahoo Expert League, where I had the fifth pick (standard 5x5, 12-team mixed league).

1. (5) Matt Holliday OF
2. (20) Ichiro Suzuki OF
3. (29) Carlos Guillen 1B,SS
4. (44) Robinson Cano 2B
5. (53) Justin Verlander SP
6. (68) Carlos Pena 1B
7. (77) Chipper Jones 3B
8. (92) Aaron Harang SP
9. (101) Jorge Posada C
10. (116) Chad Billingsley SP,RP
11. (125) Edwin Encarnacion 3B
12. (140) Jason Isringhausen RP
13. (149) Jeremy Hermida OF
14. (164) Kazuo Matsui 2B
15. (173) Joey Votto 1B,OF
16. (188) Todd Jones RP
17. (197) Brandon Lyon RP
18. (212) Billy Butler 1B,OF
19. (221) Rich Harden SP
20. (236) Scott Baker SP
21. (245) Tom Gorzelanny SP
22. (260) Johnny Cueto SP

Cueto isn't listed in their system yet, so I just used a placeholder for that spot. I'm mostly happy with the result here, with the exception that I fell behind the closer runs and missed out on my targets there. I still believe in waiting past the first closer run, but then I waited a little too long. But in a 12-team mixed league, those bottom spots on the roster are going to be pretty fluid anyhow.

Comments....

Its a nice looking team, but I have zero faith in Kazuo Matsui. Now that theres gonna be some pressure on him again (considering the new contract and starting status), I expect him to fall on his face. Hes a lightweight.

I'm not actually that enamored with the pick either - at that point, I was looking strictly for stolen bases from my middle infield slot, and didn't see a whole lot else available.

Nice team Jeff. I see you got four Reds...I know you are not a homer when it comes to drafting but I thought I would point it out. Johnny Cueto may be the best late pick in a draft you can make right now. He looks like this year's version of Yovanni Gallardo.

Baker, Butler, Encarnacion, and Hermida all have big upside this year. I notice your took Billingsley again, you have a lot of stock in him this year. And I see that you are pounding that batting avg again with your first four picks. That worked for you last year...I think it will serve you well again.

Curious, did you attack the middle of the diamond by design (Guillen/Cano), or was that a category play, or just BPA?

And oh, we need our seasonal friendly incentive ; )

I actually noticed the number of Reds on my team when I took Votto (and truthfully, Garko might have been a better pick there, but Votto runs a smidge). Not by design there. In fact, in my other leagues, I don't think I have any Reds yet.

Scott - position was a consideration, but it wasn't necessarily an urgent concern, at least with Cano. I think 2B has some depth to it. Posada was definitely a scarcity pick. And of course, I'm morally obligated to accept any reasonable side action with you. Don't forget that I owe you lunch in NYC during Tout.

I'll be using my waiver priority on Cueto or Kershaw if they get added after opening day. Part of me hopes they get added prior to my draft, but then again I know I'll have no shot at them if that happens.

Don't know how Billingsly and Encarnacion are only 9 picks apart???? Really like where you got your top 3 starters and closers....Chipper is to gimpy for my liking at that spot.....Couldn't resist a stab at Harden eh??? heh Maybe he gives you 3 good weeks so you can dish him, but I am sure you are all over that already...lol
