Ah, is John Gibbons nuts? First he challenges Shea Hillenbrand to a duel, now he's throwing down with Ted Lilly? Gibbons reminds me of a PE teacher I once had. The class was kind of rowdy and this guy would do all he could to get us to stand in line and shut up. He'd be teaching us how to throw a spiral and we'd be chucking the footballs at each other. So he'd yell and scream and threaten us. But the more he yelled and carried on, the less respect he got from us. It was like the bigger stink he made, the more we thought it was a joke. I get the feeling there might be a similar situation in Toronto.

Wasn't Billy Martin the only other guy to get into fist fights (and more than one a season) with his players? And those were his crazy alcoholic days. Gibbons says he had a brain fart and that he's embarrassed by his behavior. And the folks up here in Jays land are buying it (for the most part). JASON - Funny, what you described sounds like me and my seven year old - the more I complain the crazier he gets. I've learned the hard way that a more subtle approach is always more effective.
