N.L. Central Blues

It's too bad someone has to win the N.L. Central. The undeserving Reds are a game under .500 and the Astros are as boring as Barstow. The Cardinals are on the verge of a historic collapse and even if they hold on they'll end up collapsing in the playoffs, per usual. In one week, the Cardinals' seven-game leads is down to 1.5. How can you not root for the Cards to choke? That's just fun. The sad thing, there's no one too root for.

Comments....

Can the Cubs still make it?

I love seeing history be made. I wonder which umpire the Cardinals will blame for this collapse.

I'd like to see Griffey and the Reds get in. Like Thorn said, the Astros are a bore, and the Cardinals are choke artists.

There was a time when one could drive up to Barstow for the night and find some crossroad trucker to demonstate his might. That doesn't sound boring at all.
