Williams has left the team due to personal reasons, the Richmond Times-Dispatch reports.

Williams averaged over 11 points and five rebounds in each of the past two seasons, but had seen his role decrease as a senior due to the continued development of three sophomore forwards, Deion Taylor, Alonzo Nelson-Ododa and Terry Allen. Williams will remain in school and is scheduled to graduate after the spring semester.

Williams scored a career-high 26 points Saturday against Wake Forest, adding 10 rebounds for his third double-double of the year.

It's his second consecutive double-double, after posting a 17 point, 11 rebound line Wednesday against William & Mary. The 270 pound Williams is coming in to his own as a junior, shooting 61.1% to date, and even mixing in a few 3-pointers.

Williams posted his first double-double of the season Tuesday against Wofford, finishing with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Williams stayed out of foul trouble in route to a career-high 34 minutes. He's not a bad option in leagues that feature the Atlantic 10, especially if you can sneak in center eligibilty.
